About lawyer Jennifer Brown-DiBlasi in a business suit

Jennifer Brown-DiBlasi received her B.A. from New York University in 1998, and her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2001.  She was admitted to the New York State Bar, and the United States Federal Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 2002. In 2017 Jennifer was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Immediately after law school, Jennifer began working at a small family law office on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, which charged fees on a sliding scale and serviced people from all walks of life in New York City.  She worked her way up the ranks in that firm until she left in the beginning of 2010 to start her own practice, Jennifer P. Brown, PLLC, resolving matters, when possible, through alternate dispute resolution, and, when necessary, the pursuit of litigation and trials.

Jennifer has been very active in the NYWBA since becoming a member in 2005.  She has served on numerous committees, including co-chairing the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, which is the NYWBA’s largest and most active committee, and organizing substantive programs monthly.  Additionally, Jennifer and has been a Co-Chair and organizer of the NYWBA’s largest annual events, including the Annual Membership Reception for current and prospective members; the Judiciary Reception, honoring the newly elected, re-elected and newly appointed judges in Manhattan; and the Annual Awards and Installation Dinner.

Jennifer was the 2015-16 NYWBA President, and prior to being elected President, she served as the NYWBA’s Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and for two terms as Vice President. Jennifer has served on the NYWBA Board of Directors since 2011. She has also represented the NYWBA at the statewide level as a member of the WBASNY Board of Directors from 2012 - 2020, where she has served as the Recording Secretary in 2017-18, on the Nominations Committee for several years and Co-Chaired the Legislation Committee.

Jennifer continues to be active in her law school alma mater, speaking on panels and participating in networking events with the students.  She has been a member of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Board of Family Law Advisors for nearly ten years. Ms. Brown also serves as Pro Bono counsel for Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, a non-profit agency rescuing dogs all over the country and placing them in loving homes.

Jennifer has been a resident of the East Village in Manhattan for over 25 years, and currently lives there with her husband, Bryan, their dog, Gigi, and their cat, Mimi.
